Warriors Stars to Attend Aldi Grand Re-Opening

Wigan Warriors stars Thomas Leuluai and Liam Colbon will be joined by mascot Max on Thursday (31st July) to officially open the newly-refurbished Aldi Store on Scot Lane in Wigan.

The popular mascot will be at the store between 9am and 11am to officially ‘cut the ribbon’ and give out free balloons while Leuluai and Colbon will be in store between 1pm and 2pm to meet fans, sign autographs and pose for photographs. Wish FM will be present playing music and broadcasting live on 102.4FM between 10.15am and 2.15pm.

Fans attending on the day will also be able to sample Aldi’s award winning products while there will also be a free prize draw (applicable to all customers that spend £20.00 or more) with a first prize of a £10 free shop in the Aldi Wigan store each week for the rest of 2008.

There will also be a raffle with all proceeds going to amateur rugby in Wigan via the Warriors Amateur Club package. First prize is a 19” LCD TV and a signed rugby ball, second prize is a 7” portable DVD player and third prize 4GB MP4 player. Tickets will be available on the day and Tomas Leuluai and Liam Colbon will draw the winners at approximately 2pm.

To celebrate the re-opening there are some great special offers on 1GB MP4 Players (£9.99), 42” LCD HD TV (£449.99), 7MP Digital Camera (£29.99) and GPS Satellite Navigation (£79.99).

The grand opening is the first of a number of joint initiatives between Wigan Warriors and Aldi which will also the German-based supermarket become a sponsor of the popular Wigan Warriors summer rugby camps.
