Aspinwall and Vaealiki Added to Injury List

Wigan Warriors can today confirm that both Martin Aspinwall and David Vaealiki will require knee surgery following injuries picked up in last Friday's game against St Helens.

Aspinwall is ligament damage, Vaealiki is cartilage, which means Martin and David require operations with a recovery period of between three and four months.

Head Coach Ian Millward said,

"I find it staggering that ten of our players have had knee surgery this year. It is a real credit how well the other lads have done, particularly at the back end of year. It may be just a case of bad luck but we will be reviewing this huge toll."
