Gareth is a rough, tough, hard working second row forward. He was selected by Tony Smith for the England World Cup squad and figured down under after impressing at the business end of the 2008 season.

He has previous international experience in the Great Britain Tri-Nations side for 2006 in Australia and New Zealand. Has also represented England A and GB Academy. In 2003, Gareth was awarded the young Super League player of the year.

Only made 19 appearances in all in 2008 due to injury and suspension but is a key member of the squad with his never say die attitude, determination and brut force.

Has had injury set backs in the past including a spell on the sidelines of 15 months in 2006 with a knee ligament and then shin injury

Has put pen to paper on an extended contract with the club which has tied the second rower up with the Warriors until 2011.
